| Religious Wars of Love? Everyone, at one time or another, wonders what to expect when our existence in this life is finished. It is the cause of arguments, discussions, disputes and many other forms of rivaling thoughts because it is something that either can't be explained, or can only be explained by someone who has already been dead. Many people tend not to believe what they can't see, so that makes it even more difficult to answer that question. The afterlife is a mystery to most everyone. There are preachers and priestesses, gurus and teachers that all claim to have some idea of what we should expect when we die. Most have a plan in their thoughts that connects our eternity to how well we live our lives "this time around" or this life or however they might think to describe it depending upon whether or not they believe in reincarnation. (The belief that we keep being reborn until we get it right?) We are all striving for something we can't quite put our finger on. Words fall short of describing what we think will fill the void within and yet, years of study don't seem to have told us what to expect! Some believe they have lived before. Some believe there is no god or goddess or others still believe that science explains us to be evolving as we go but it still fails to say what happens to the spirit once we die. For those who really want tangible, there may not even be a "spirit" to concern themselves about. Many religions claim to know and describe fanciful places we'll end up in perhaps jewel encrusted cities with no further suffering, no pain or injustice. Perhaps singing praises to the "almighty" whomever ‘until eternity ends which, well-we already know it doesn't. Eternity is eternal right? The idea of heaven appeals to many, especially after a really bad day at work or at home, etc. The idea that some day, we might not feel this tired, or our feelings won't be hurt anymore appeals to us. The thought that disease will no longer be a problem, homelessness a thing of the past, etc. This appeals to many. The problem is, we are only human and we make mistakes and some of those mistakes are really, really bad ones that make others suffer. We need forgiveness in this world, but if we can't forgive ourselves, our own mistakes, how can we expect to either forgive other or be forgiven by others? Sometimes we need something bigger than ourselves, like mom and dad to take away the responsibility and assure us that everything is going to be all right. Someone to guard the unknown so that we don't always have to be so responsible! God? Goddess? Devil? Father? Mother? Who to believe? *****(Think about it~Holy Wars ....People have killed and died for the right to say what happens to us after we die and how we should live while we are here. Wow. People have died promoting God when God is –supposed- to be Love. Wow. People have been killed for loving God in their own way. Whoa!)***** My gratitude is overwhelming for those on the Internet and in real life that have in one way or another helped me make my website what it is! It is a message, an oasis and a resbit to recover from the storm of life! Chuck (wink) ...Thanks for the music my dear; your spirit is a special one indeed! He was inspired by another page, and the music to this one was his response ....He calls is "Fly Free" Enjoy the music, but please do not take credit for it or use it for profitable gains as it dilutes the message all together...the message is love and money isn't love!
